blueguppy
LinkedIn automatically invites you to join with others based upon your email contacts and those email contacts of your 'friends'. It probably has nothing to do with Fred, or anyone else for that matter. LinkedIn is a bit of a pariah that way.
Skywork
LinkedIn automatically invites you to join with others based upon your email contacts and those email contacts of your 'friends'. It probably has nothing to do with Fred, or anyone else for that matter. LinkedIn is a bit of a pariah that way. LinkedIn will randomly send invites as bluguppy said and if you accept it then sends it to the other person and then you get a message to say the other person has accepted your invitation and neither are none the wiser that linkedin has just fooled two people into getting connected with each other.
DGP
I use to be on linked in until I started to get asked to connect with folks claiming to be with Canadian banking firms. What have they to do with my aviation contacts. So I shut down for a couple of weeks and tried again after totally going over my settings and using very little in the way of info about me.As soon as I signed in and I had to use my gmail account again I start getting connected to some of the connections that i had before without sending out invites. Also they were doing this with all my gmail contacts who were not on that site.I shut it down again and won't be using it again!!!
