Blackcomb Rescue

:up: Well done Steve Flynn and crew from Blackcomb Helicopters in Whistler. A man that fell through the ice in the middle of a lake in Whistler yesterday was rescued by a Blackcomb Astar that plucked him from the icy waters. It was a very nice bit of flying to allow the man to be pulled into the a/c with the skids practically in the water. The RCMP felt the man would not have survived if the helicopter had not carried out the rescue.....Well done Guys.... :up:

The news channel in Seattle showed footage of the rescue by C-GYYR shot on home video by an Edmonds, WA couple :up:

 

They indicated all other rescue attempts by boat, etc. had been exhausted!
