Not being a Sat Phone eficionado, I was wondering if they were equipped with GPS as some cell phones are???????

Don

I had a Thuraya phone while working in Algeria last summer. It had basic GPS functionality (current position, pre-programmable waypoints, etc.). The one I had also had a GSM SIM and could auto-detect the presence of a GSM network and would use that (at GSM rates) rather than the expansive satellite link whenever possible.

I assume some of the Iridium handsets would have those features as well...

LAND CLAIM!! Here come the road blocks again! <_<

I guess I will just have to park one of the Astars at home. B)

Considering that the various bands are claiming well over 100% of the province, I probably won't be safe there either.
