WTF
Rumours out there that AES crashed a machine while landing in whiteout conditions yesterday. Sounds like the pilot is OK, so that is good news. Sad for AES since they haven't bent anything for well over a year now...
Frequent Flyer
Good to hear everyone is o.k. AES has certainly cleaned up thier act since the departure of a few key people. 12 months with no wrecks is a new record for those guys. Take care out there, winter isnt finished yet. Canadian Expatriate
Can you PM me with the pilot's name, if you know. I know a lot of people up that way and I would appreciate it. Sorry, very sorry, to hear the bad news. But glad all are OK.
otas
Heard today that they lost a 206 due to dynamic rollover and also an R-44 with longline (settling with power) Don't know about the drivers but hope everyone walked away

Rotorboy2
That must have been the machine I saw yesterday on a trailer just outside Fox Creek. It was southbound towards Whitecourt. I didn't recognize the colours, but I'm not sure what AES colours are to begin with. The tailboom was whacked off but the fuselage looked to be in pretty good shape. Yeah, crusty layers of snow up here in the north, topped off with a few more inches of the fresh stuff from the beginning of the week. Everyone play safe out there.
