widgeon
http://www.tc.gc.ca/mediaroom/releases/nat/2005/05-h048e.htm how did 407d miss this one ?.
Helilog56
Wait a minute......is this where I can put in another one of my temper tantrums about wasteful bureaucratic spending?
407 Driver
WAAAAAA, they never bought my low priced EC, WAAAAAAAAAAAA S.O.B., my 407 only burns 330 lb/hr, so with a 200 lb min, 860 lbs in a standard tank, 2.0 hrs range, a cruise of 130 Kts, it still gives you a range of 260 NM. 407 Driver
Actually MAG, I couldn't care less about who won or lost. I never read the bid request, so have no idea what they were looking for. The fact that a lot of the TC guys I know have lots of Bell stick time, plus the fact that the Government of Canada has some stake in the Mirabel factory or development of the 407, or ? may be contributing factors. They'll enjoy the aircraft, after all -- even a 350D would be an improvement over the current 15,000 hr 1975 206B on Popouts ! OK, bad example, the D model may not be a better choice...maybe a 350BA with only 8,000 hrs ? I'd take a wild guess that their standard load may be 2 passengers and full fuel, or about the same as an RCMP 350B3
Helilog56
Hmmm....I wonder if there's air conditioning included in this deal?...
DGP
saw the rcmp b3 go through here...loaded....air and leather...got to love it....keep those taxes coming in boys
cap
Rest easy Maggie. The RCMP must destroy the particular drug they seize, but can now seize and use all the assets of the CONVICTED person and sell or use those assets themselves. Americans have been doing that for eons and it just took us a while to catch-up. So there's no need for those kiosks at the local shopping malls to generate income. These same discussions took place eons ago, only the a/c then were the FH-110, the Huges 500 and the 206, so there's nothing new here. Cole
If were allowed to use the siezed property than shouldnt their be a 206 and a 47j floating around here somewhere??? Actually I heard that because of lack of evedence or something like that, they had to give them back to the local dru.... oops I mean entrepreneurs Cole
cap
Cole ....even if they would have been ceased, they would've ended back out on the auction or for sale block somewhere's along the line. KNOWING something to be true and PROVING it in a court are entirely too different things. So if you are looking for "truth", don't visit the local courtrooms. Cole
Just a bit of humor, everyone knows that about the court system, I know I dont have to name the case you all know, 1 mil of tax money and that stupid whitness couldnt keep his story straight, end of that though, Cole
