I remember landing in Chilliwack back in the early nineties and seeing a VIP S-61, all black with a red stripe and the word "TRUMP" down the side. Story was that Coulson just bought it and was going to go logging with it. Sure was nice, I see that Trump still prefers Sikorsky but only smaller now, guess the 727 makes up for it!

That was when Trump was starting a helicopter shuttle. CHC was contracted to o/h that unit, then Trump decided not to pay the bill.

I was working in YVR hangar at the time.

That is when Trump had to downsize so to speak. He also had a BV234 running folks from NYC to Atlantic City Casinos all decked out vip. A friend of mine was flying it for him after he left the US Army. Nicest Chinook in the world at that time with leather seats and sheep skins for the drivers.

 

As for the vip S61, **** that's nice and that old girl can soldier on another 40 years easy, solid beast.
