I just finished switching (adding, technically I guess) a group 4 onto my group 1.

accordin to transport its a re-ride, not an initial, you may have to write the inrat again, depending how long its been (i think you have 2 years from the exam to do the ride)

 

as far as hours go you just need to tach on the 5 in a helicopter with an instructor (I dont think a "qualified person counts in this case" and then your set.

 

transport didn't ask me to do another cross country, or any of the other pre-requisites, they considered all of the fixed wing training valid.
