Sad, must be the first time in the 50 odd years they been around that there were layoffs for full time employees. There still doing a bit of work in the states. Yes, first time in 50 yes would be correct. PW (RIP) would not be happy about such a move even in these difficult times.

Yes you got that right, I suspect there are a few that are still alive that are shaking their heads. Not the same place now. Far from it. Been slowly sinking since it was sold by Steele

Got Axed April 1, shut down until further notice as a result of Covid 19.(camp work). So 4000+ hr. pilot is seeking employment. Mountain course, no accidents, current on a 200'line. etc.

Has anyone heard what measures Alberta/BC forestry are taking or how they are planning on dealing with this season differently considering everything going on?

Hearing west coast heli laid off entire team pilots and engineers. Guys getting laid off at custom in MB as well.

I heard a couple outfits in the Valley cut crews and so they should if they want to try and survive this.
