R0T0R
Good day all, I hope this finds you all well and having a good start to the season. I’m wondering if any of you have any experience with both the Bose and Lightspeed Zulu. I’m considering getting a new helmet with one or the other and I’m hoping someone might be able to shed some real life experience on the subject. I have CEP in my alpha at the moment and I’d like active ANR for a change. Thanks in advance, Rob
jashcroft441
I've had both in helmets and personally prefer the the Bose. Mainly because the ear cups are smaller and they fit in helmet better, ANR and bluetooth I found the quality to be comparable.
Hanging Out
Lightspeed comes with a a 3 yr warranty. Bose has no support if you have problems. Have had lightspeed for a few years now and couldn't fly without it.
MikeNowak
I prefer the Lightspeeds simply because they work much better if their batteries die. The PNR of the Boses is non existent. With that, the Lightspeeds don’t handle doors off well at all, haven’t done any doors off with Boses. My helmet still runs CEPs with custom molds for all of my slingin’ flying. Feedly
The post is already a little older but I am currently thinking about getting a Lightspeed or an A20 in my helmet as well. I do have cep currently and was wondering if someone has experience in combining those two. (CEP and A20/ Lightspeed)
ironpilot
running the light speed mod in my gentex, having the warranty is a nice piece of mind if anything go wrong as they make the system specifically for the helmet and not just cannibalizing a head set. Saifan Pilot
I agree with jashcroft441 I've also had both in my MSA Gallet, and personally prefer the the Bose. ANR and bluetooth I found the quality to be comparable. I seem to recall I was long lining with door off when I had the Zulu and its ANR didn't work well with the wind, it made more noise because of the wind so I had to turn ANR off. I don't seem to recall Bose having that issue.
