Cheap field barrel lifter

Recommended Posts

I’ve created a cheap simple barrel lifter you can carry with you easily on tours.
Thought I’d share the idea with everyone.

All you need is these two items from Home Depot:

To add strength to the hook, drill a 3ʳᵈ hole in between the existing 2 holes.
Flatten out the tie connector so it’s trapezoid shape.

When you get to your work site, simply find a scrap 2×4 or sturdy tree branch, cut it down to 3’ length.
Attach the hook about 11” from the end of the 2×4 and the tie connector at the end of the 2×4.

When tour is done, simply disassemble the hardware and carry with you on your next tour.
