blizzard 0
Hey, they are JUST cover-alls for pete's sake....go to workwear world and try on any that fit. purpose of all those zippers is still a mystery to me even after 20 yrs in the biz..... no offence buddy, wasn't trying to attack you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Aren't the zippers a fashion statement! blizzard 0
Or you could come join the collective and wear.........blue pants , white shirt with bars and black shoes. the pants are made out of Polyester, wool and lycra. the shirts are poly and cotton and the bars are just plain stupid. I long for the days when I could work in a comfortable flight suit. Also known as coveralls with lots of mysterious zippers. Have you ever seen a green garbage bag burn? I'm pretty sure thats how these pants would go in a fire. But thats What our Queen wants and what she wants she gets. You have to wear this stuff in 40 degree weather to truly appreciate why a career in offshore is so exilerating. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If your flying twin engine equipment you are then have a waiver to use non fire retartment flight wear! blizzard 0
Many years ago in my Cdn Coast Guard days, one of our instructors faithfully wore the issue Nomex flight suits. One very hot day in July during a training flight in YOW, he took it off & flew in his civies. There was an incident during an autorotatation, resulting in a fire , in which he was severely burned, & later succumbed to his injuries. Sad situation, as this was the only time anyone saw him flying without his Nomex suit. Wore mine all the time in flight, even tho I was the AME crewmember during the flight. Just my .02 worth <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "COAST GUARD", don't you guys fly over water 99% of the time. I thought that you guys wore immersion suits. Sorry to hear about this guys demise. But isn't it always the case, that the day that you don't bring something along is the very day that you need it? I too sometimes don't wear my helmet on those hot summer days. Probably thats whats going to happen (the plot sucumbed to his injures because he wasn't wearing his helmet that was located on the back seat).
blizzard 0
:punk: When I was a kid, I wore a flight suit. When I grew up and needed one, I wore one. Now that I don't need one, I am so glad to be out of them! I had to wear them for soooo long. Talk about over-heat sydrome! I think the people who have to wear them know what I am talking about. Baboy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When I wear a flight suit its because its too hot to wear jeans. I just strip down to my skivys and put the suit on. No problem. But if you keep your jeans on; no wonder you get the flashing overtemp light.

blizzard 0
Not sure why the average tailor can't make a Flight Suit that fits, should be easy ?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you comPEARing what your profile looks like now that you and many of us all look like now that we have been flying in the Bell products with their egronmic seats!
