Seems a little overdue but being as it's still a working fire, I just wanted to say a huge good show and thanks to the crews flying the fires near Jasper. I used to live in Jasper itself in the late seventies, and as recently as just before Covid, was working out of Hinton. That's beautiful land up there. Sorry that Mother Nature is purging. Going to be lots of work rebuilding the power grid.

I also noted the TSB report released today on the loss of Heater and the Yellowhead 212 due to a faulty blade retention pin. Let's all take a moment to remember him and Jean-Luc in Slave Lake... 😔
