Ryan
Found the story in the paper. Not too revealing other than the make of the helicopter... an Enstrom 280C. My thoughts with the family and friends. Story Here
Low Level Lover
I was in Duncan just last week doing some circuits in an R 22 and the turkey vultures in the area are terrible, sometimes hard to see against the surrounding terrain. Wonder if this had anything to do with the crash.
Ryan
Just found out who was flying the Enstrom....a friend. He was a commercial fixed winger years back and was in my training class to get his PPL in helicopters. He bought the Enstrom not too long ago I guess. Heard from my intructor, Bob Reimer, that the tail rotor has yet to be found at the crash site. The pilot/owner was [removed] of Duncan BC. A great man and a gentleman. He will be missed. No word who the passenger was.
