212 Down Ft Good Hope

Recommended Posts

Very sad news! It’s good to see a lot of companies and provinces are shutting down operations until further notice on the other hand it’s very interesting to see the companies that have decided that money is more important than their pilots lives!

Heard all the mediums at Ft Nelson shut er down today except for a blue/silver operator from the Okanagan... It flew in, it'll fly out. Interesting attitude. $$$...

Sad news, condolences to GSH and all the pilot's friends and family.

What’s the reason some operators parked the machines?

It's sounding like it was a blade departure. Eerily 3 years to the day since Yellowhead's accident.

Most operators standing down their medium fleets until they know more.

Heaths machine at yellowhead in 2021. MR pin failure via manufacturer defect caused a blade liberation and ultimately his death.  The batch was isolated but there is acknowledgement to that incident until more data is available.

One of the only mediums flying around in canada on the day most companies grounded their medium fleet. Profits over safety for these guys

That machine flying today is no less safe than you flying yesterday. Until transport releases a finding stating otherwise, all these parked machines are legally serviceable.
