MT,

 

Our aircraft was hangared about a 100 miles to the east. The highest winds that crew saw topped about 40 KTS.

 

Got pretty ugly here early Saturday morning for a few hours, winds around 75 to 80 and very heavy rain. The storm clobbered Lake Charles about 50 miles to the west of us. Place looks something like New Orleans.

 

The "curfew" thing was interesting, have not had one of them for a while. Lafayette looked like a ghost town here late Friday night, a little surreal.

Darn, they even had Walmart closed...needed a canoe to get across the lot.

Oh come on 412, Dodge really ...?? :down: it was all the rental place had left :P

This was the dispatch center for the Paramedics...yes they had taken over a Walmart, BTW, there is a Walmart every block down here...
