Very slow start this year. However, I flew nearly 95 hours on fires in only 3.5 weeks starting mid Sep.

I guess that makes it a pretty good year (approx. 350 hours so far for the year). Oh, most of the 350 hours were on fires.

I'm with Chevy II - not enough options. It seems the bigger stuff did as well on fires this year as last, but not so the lights. There was definitely more action on lights in other markets in northern B.C., though.

 

The hydro strike in Ontario helped some between eastern fire periods, while those with provincial medium contracts should have made out like bandits.

 

Over all some might be down a little, but there's probably no-one cutting their wrists.
