T tail
Anyone got the dimension's etc compared to the Astar or is it a direct copy ???? Cheers TT

67november
it looks like a cross between the 407, 130 and who knows what else. the tail rotor is on the starboard side of the ship, not many that way if i recalect right?
Skidz
It doesn't look anything like a 407... It actually looks exactly like an Astar.... Btw 67n, most ships w/ clockwise turning rotors have the tailrotor on the right side. All Astars are like this.
67november
clockwise rotation? isn't that from the bassakward group across the pond (no offense)
Skidz
None taken. I speak French, but I'm about as French as you are English... Yes, Eurocopter's origins are mainly from Aerospatiale. The Astar was designed as the successor to the Alouette. Actually, technically speaking. An AS350D or BA+ is an Astar (Lycoming turbine, essentially the same found in the M1 Abrams). An AS350B, BA, B2 or B3 is an "Écureuil", (French for squirrel), and is powered by the Turbomeca Arriel turbine. In all cases, the rotor turns the wrong way. It does carry it's name well; these f*ckers are squirrelly as **** IGE...
Iceman
Definitely reverse engineering, looks pretty much like an Astar. Guess copyright and patent laws don't apply over there.
407 Driver
.... and voila , they designed the perfect helicopter. Does it look familiar 407D Widgeon, what am I, some kind of Astar expert? Yup, it looks like an Astar, it seems to spin the way of an Astar, so it must be an Astar  I wonder if they used any bamboo in the construction? T tail
Who are Wozhou Turbines ???? Anyone ??? I think I would rather fly the French version  Do wonder if they made any improvements... Left hand drive and against the door for slinging and for turning with the torque, increased the vis for those confines. I have often wondered, do designers ever talk to pilots when they are designing a helicopter ?? Cheers TT
