I had a chance to see what was left of the ship. I don't know a word for how I felt.

it puts our chosen profession all in perspective when something like this happens. we train, try to do everything right, don't take unnecessary risks and then it ends just being along for the ride. I tell people outside the industry that we have a better chance of being struck by lightning than my aircraft coming apart in flight, but........( actually I was almost struck by lightning while tying my ship down on an offshore platform, but that's another story) My prayers for those who have gone before me and back in the saddle I go.
