Blue
What have you found on your preflight inspection? I had a 206 hydraulic cooling hose clamp rotate and eat through half of the swashplate push rod. The apprentice engineer found it after I had flown the machine for two days. Needless to say I am thankful for overengineering and I always check the position of that clamp.
CTD
Tail rotor drive shaft worn almost through by a metal/rubber seal that had fallen from between the two oil coolers on a TwinStar. I had just spent the day on the end of a line doing drill moves. Found by a sharp-eyed wrench who received a 40oz atta-boy for his efforts. We shared. Bladestrike
Found a 47 tail rotor control cable with only three strands left, prior to longlining a small moose out of the woods.
