Dockjock
I was in Muskoka a couple days a go and saw it there. Was it based there? dunno. I just says what I sees.
407 Driver
Hey bruised, how about a Sterling Gas BBQ? I hear the BK burns nicely too...right down to the M/R head....saw a pic of that one in T.O. years ago..?
Bruised Armpit
Can't say that I did. but you have me thinking....A flying BBQ!I guess the BK isn't the best choice for that idea though. Maybe a 76A? I would be like getting two LongRanger for the price of....wait, that doesn't add up...
407 Driver
I always wondered about that....2 x C30''s and voila...you have a real aircraft? Now, how about if Bell put 2 x C30''s into my L3? Will I get 160+Kts??????
Elvis
Sure 407,but with the weight of the # 2 engine, the C-Box & all extra stuff you need for a twin engine operation ( not to mention a lot more fuel consumption) there would be room for You and very little else. 407 Driver
Actually...Bell (or someone?) already did it...sort of. What engines did they use on that TwinRanger? I think the QPP have one, don''t they?
Guest sharky
I believe it was 2x C20-R's in that twin pak. With full fuel, useful load was around 300-400#.
407 Driver
300 to 400? hmmmm , sounds like R22 numbers ?
saturnman
The rumour is true. The S76 deploys to the Muskoka airport every morning so that the crew can spend the day basking in the glow of the Avitat...they return to Toronto the Good at the end of the day shift...around 1830. It is the plan for the summer "trauma" season. S/M
