Guest CHEVY II
Hey, Mr. Albert Ross....how''s your summer shaping up? While we''re on the topic of hydraulics...what does a bad servo feel like in a Jetranger? Mine seems to have a lateral issue where the cyclic "feels" like it reaches it''s stop, then, with added input, will achieve more! Feels "soggy", for the lack of better phraseology! 407 Driver
Hey Chevy 2, I know exactly what you are feeling (no, I'm not a psychologist either It could be one of 2 things, check ALL the bearings under the seat(co-pilot side as well as pilot) if it's different laterally Vs fore and aft....or check the tension on all of those nifly little bearings on the mixing unit at the bottom of the "broom closet". The tension must be exact, and even.... on those 3 little doo-dads. We just went through the same situation here.
407 Driver
OK I just re-read your initial post....I bet it''s a stiff bearing under the pilot or co-pilot seat....

Well...you were exactly right! The teflon thingy on one of those little "doo-dads" was worn due to improper tension.

Phil Croucher
Hi Mr Jumper - I'm trailer trash at the moment in a little park right out of town, and the machine, which is an Astar, is parked up at the back on the grass (Remote). If you want a coffee you're welcome to drop in - or I'll pop up to the hangar. My cell is 780 805 2584 - we've got some other lunatics around here as well!
