Whats happening with the Hillers at the moment ?? I heard they were making both soloy and piston 12E ?? Did a few hours in one, very interesting to fly took some getting used too

You can still order 12e and 12et, but they haven't sold many for the last couple of years.

I loved that helicopter! Flew it for a number of years in the early 70's, and would take it over a 47 any day! Don't have much time in a 22, but the comparison would be a GMC diesel pickup to a Honda Civic!

Seems to me that if you are looking to get your Canadian CHL, rather than do it with a Hiller, why not give the R44 a shot? A few hours and you have your endorsement, and are more likely to find a job.

 

Not too many Hillers working commercially up here, but you can't swing a dead cat without hitting an R44

Just want to get it done quickly. I'm not looking for a job in Canada yet. I have a good job till November in England. But next season is a different story.

 

The R-44 idea is interesting, I'm not really in to those.

 

But sofar thanks for all the replies. It seems there are no Hillers for flight training left in Canada.
