The fire burning north of Edmonton 500 hectars with no end in sight and record hot tems continuing, just wondering who is on and how many machines in the area?

Didn't hear about that one, but I'm moving drills west of Sundre and I have had 3 fires pop up all around me in the last two days.

 

Two southwest of Rocky Mountain House and another one that looks to be towards Banff or Golden.

Tasman has 1 medium in Grande Cache hired on and AB forestry wants anything we have. Unfortunatly, the other 212 is on a flat rack coming through customs.

If ya swing a little South, drop by the hanger at Didsbury Airport for a coffee..

 

I'll be out there all day Thursday. It.s the Blue Roofed hanger on the SouthEast side if the airport, right down at the end.

 

Coffee's free, as are the paint fumes, the smell of varsol, and the refreshing odours of a ripe old engineer!! :up:

When I left, the fire southwest of Red Deer seemed to be a little active still. Someone might be able to get on for some mop-up.

Are you on in Alberta? I heard they were going to evacuate a town near Rocky Mtn House.

 

Seems like BC and Alberta are the hot spots right now. Still slow out here in Ontario.
