chopper_guy
Transaero is a disaster. I just ordered a new helmet from them. When i ordered the helmet they told me it would take about 2 weeks until they would ship it. Well, its about 9 weeks now and they finally shipped it today!! I also wanted a single visor helmet, but i had to get a dual, since the single visors are not available until september!! I strongly urge everyone that had problems with Transero to phone and complain to Gentex so that Flightsuits can get their export privileges back!!! Hopefully one day flightsuits can send gentex helmets to canada, and all of us can have better service again. However, i talked to one of the flightsuits helmet reps yesterday, since i was thinking about cancelling my order with Transero, and they told me that if i order a custom painted helmet, they can ship one to canada!! So if you want to spend an extra 130 dollars (or something like that) and you want a colored helmet, or put a design or anything on it (i think your name works too) they can ship you one of the their helmets. Expect up to 4 weeks untili delivery, since they are really busy right now, and since they will have to paint your helmet. That sounds very interesting!!!!!!!!!!! I'll give them a call soon to check up on it myself. That a special paint job would be a small price to pay for thje Flightsuits service. Thanks for the information. Bruce Good luck figuring out what to do. AB

Hello 412driver, lucky you. I wish i could have ordered my helmet from them. I don't know if you hearded but Gentex took away the export licence for flightsuits and technically they are only allowed to distribute gentex helmets domestically in the usa. The international sales have to be done through Transaero. Transaero really sucks, they are slow, they don't have any helmet techs there and you have to order the helmet that they put together, you can't decide on all the little extra parts. Once again, i urge everyone that had a bad experience to contact Gentex directly and complain about Transearo, so that flightsuits can sell their helmets to canada again. scubasteve
For Gallets try www.meritapparel.com (USA) www.aerobaticproshop.com (USA) www.valleyassociates.com (Ontario, Canada) www.pilot-communications.com (USA) www.acrohelipro.com (Langley, BC, Canada) My personal experience after recently buying a LH250 is deal with merit apparel if you want to order from the States (US$1600) or Acro Helipro if you want to rder in Canada (CDN$2700). I used to know where to get Alpha's but dont have the info with me right now. Gentex I guess you have seen around the web, and dont forget the ever faithful Ebay. Good luck. Nomex
I'll second that again, Merit provides exceptional service and the helmet came as ordered, on time, no glitches & very comfortable.
Machiavelli
I third that having just ordered from Rob at Merit… he couldn’t have made things easier for me, also he had everything I wanted in stock (hard to find with the LH250)
