warner
last week a 206LR had a flameout while crusing merrily along by the Wells, all ok after the pilot did a superb job of getting it into a tight spot, min damage, think it might have tossed some compressor blades. warner
I thought there would be more interest in this one, its probably sitting in the Wells by now waiting for the fix, 212 yanked it off the tundra this week

Hover Lover
Apparently a massive compressor failure. More details will surely follow. Thumbs up to the pilot on a good job in a difficult situation.
warner
the pilot had taken pics of the engine area below the free wheel unit and there were chunks of metal laying there the size of your thumb, he couldn't see anything obvious in the compressor area on the side in which he had looked though
412driver
I thought there would be more interest in this one, its probably sitting in the Wells by now waiting for the fix, 212 yanked it off the tundra this week it's not that we are not interested............. i am sure that we all are very interested in hearing about pilots walking away from these things......... too many friends gone down this year fly safe everyone

warner
perhaps "not interested" is not what I should have said or implied, as a fixer of these things it piques my attention level when these things calf for no apparent reason, yes fly safe
