Pickel Lake 1972

Next time you drive through Ignase you should not drive stright through

But turn north at the sine that reeds Pickel Lake 192

And past the point of exhustion and through the gates of ****

The road will lead to a broken dock and the Pickel Lake Hotell

Now the inkeepers name was Edward Graves and somehow i do not know how

He must have bribed the indians for they named him oughmow

Now the meaning of oughmow is boss in the cree tung I am told

And there is many a man would forgive him that if only his beer was cold

Now it was that balmey time of the year when the ice takes its leave of the lake

And the bush was cleared of prospecters who had come out for a brake

Now they started out in Central Pat where they already had a few

And someone sugested that they retire to the oughmow arms for a brew

Somehow a fight got started and they took some shuffle bord stone and windos

and mixed them on the floor

Now all of the boys from Dominion and most of Inco as well

were banned from drinking at the Pickel Lake Hotell

Now the damage was paid the very next day and the boys were not serley vexed

they said we maid our mark on Pickel Lake now Weebin vill is next

 Back to the Dom-Peg thread again. This past week I happened to meet an old friend who I worked with at DP in the mid 70's and he just happened to have an old employee list. Some of the people I know where they are and what they're doing, but others I don't have a clue. If ya know about any of these guys, let us know

Might be a bit out of date as I just noticed the thread

.

Cliff Arnott was at Dome Petroleum in Tuk from 1980 -84

Tom Marsden was at Dome then went with Mel Barton flying DC-8s out of Miami to Columbia then I think Cathay Pacific or Singapore

Buck Rogers Eurocopter if it is the same guy i am thnking of - early 80s sold Dome a BO 105

Thanks for any help you can give. Kinda brings back memories for some of ya eh!

I never worked with Dom Peg.

My second helicopter ride, however, was in a Pegasus 47J in Timmins during the texas Gulf rush.(1962or 64)

Anyhoo I am sitting here in Myanmar with a 76 looking across the desk at Richard Voss who started with Dom Peg as an Engineer in Jan 1974.

How about Jim Woods?

Remember Steve Richardson - he came to a sad end in Chibougamau.

And we all remember Bruce Mecier (SP?) ran into an aunt of his a couple of years ago at a BBQ at a friends ciottage - small world.

Anyhoo Richard says "Hi" to all.

Oh yes a "sad"end there in chiboug....for Steeve Richardson.
