Canadian Mountain Course Fantasy

I am an American helicopter pilot working in the US. I have done charter/tour work for the last few years and this will be my first year doing long-line/utility/fire work. I would love to attend one of the mountain courses up in Canada for my own personal growth, but can't afford it and I know my employer would not be willing to send me up there due to the cost. Does anyone know where I could get some materials to read that would at least explain some of the theory behind how you Canadians operate up in the mountains? I know from teaching Canadian pilots who have come to the US to train, that things are taught quite differently up there and from my perspective, the mountain training in Canada is a lot more realistic than what we do here in the States. I appreciate any help!

I'm also an American, now retired from military & living the dream in the great white north.

The highlight of the exchange tour was the mountain crse @ Canadian.

I may be able to hook you up with some non-copyrighted stuff...
