That blue sky is great!! It will also eliminate the drivers out there that do the dumb stuff, they don't have to get caught on youtube anymore if they work for a outfit with that system in their ships. Back on topic....I don't think it is reasonable to ask a pilot to land in the middle of but^**&& nowhere and not have a means of comunication if there happens to be a hung start, dead battery, ect.....

 

I like the fact that my employer knows exactly where I am at any time.

Update on Globalstar.

 

I've been advised that there was a major upgrade to their system in the first 2 weeks of February. We have done some montioring and have found a marked increase in availability of the system. 80% of the time it's online with only a few dropped calls. The next schedualed upgrade is in August.

I'll concur with what Dan just said.....we have found a difference in service here on the west coast, still room for improvement though
