One of our old rusty guys here recalled slinging an emty ISU-60 container (about 10x10x5 high) during the first gulf war, also got spinning, they turned back and set it down and asked for a drogue, nothing seemed available until one of the eager ground mechanics (obviously trying to impress to get a flight job) took his fatigue pants off and rigged up a nice drogue. Now thats dedication.

 

I also remember somewhere reading about a porta-potty on a longline, got to spinning and all, pilot brought it to the jobsite and showed the foreman, who replied "go take that somewhere over the woods and pickle it off"

After much in-depth research, I found the reference for said story 1 topic below this one in this very forum. Guess the alzheimer's is still alive and well.
