tail rotor
The other day I was politely informed by a customer that they were cancelling a trip. They (4 passengers and gear, flying for about 1.2 hr one way) were instead going to fly with the 'other brand' because their Jetranger was considerably cheaper at $680/hr than our Astar BA. Is this a common rate for a Jetranger? And is 4 passengers plus gear the norm (we can all do the math)? Terrrace, B.C
Freefall
680/hr is quite low for a 206, and 4 pax with gear...there better be a fuel cash along the way...
Heli-pilot
Price seems VERY low.. and yeah , hope it wasnt a long leg to fly..

Terrrace, B.C Some operators still sell a Jetranger for lower tariff than that...part of the reason I moved on from my last job. Had an operator sewering the rates in my town and I didn't feel like playing. Rumor was 635/hr dry for Canfor. Our lowest was 755/dry and even that is low. We charge about 960 for ours now....I think.

cap
Let's see now. The average JetRanger nowadays weighs in at about 1800-11900 lbs. This flight is entirely possible providing all of the passengers lift their feet off of the floor on take-off.
ray
1800-11900 lbs A little different from the jetrangers I've been around...
