The 212S even though they dont zero the airframe is considered a "new" aircraft and so they are subject to the newer regulations. 205's and 212's manufactured before that certain date (I dont remember what it is sometime in the mid 90s I think) dont have to follow those rules. I dont think it matters if its a single engine or twin engine. There is an op spec for carying extra people in a single its just over 9 pax on newer airframes you have to start carrying all kinds extra gear like voice recorders, flight data recorders, life jackets etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
