Rotorhead
forgive the dumb question as i have never flown an a-star but would losing the drive belt not allow an autorotation? What? You have never flown an Astar? I can't imagine... Buddy, make a few calls for next summer, you'll not regret it. RH
Petit-Lion
If you'd like to know the the rest, I can tell you they have three big blades that turn the wrong way, nobody knows how to count cycles on the engine, and the manuals are poor translations from the French: "Installation of the engine should pose no problem. Step one: offer the engine up to the aircraft..." ... and Brits drive the wrong side, and you still use a mediaeval measurement system (just kidding). About poor translations, I rather think it's worse than that: manuals are NOT translated, they are written by French engineers who think that they speak English, re- P-L, working (temporarily) as an English to French translator
