Can anyone give me a cost estimate to overhaul a 1984 r-22 that has "run out"

Labor (180 Manhours @ $60 per hour)

ouch is right, I was just trying to consider the best option,

-buy and a/c that has 400 hours left on it and add 100 hours then sell OR

-buy a run out a/c, overhaul it, fly as much as I please and sell it without loosing too much money

 

I don't have a CPL so it would be a training machine.

This $69,000 for the parts kit, do you not get substantial money back for the cores to bring the price down some what?

I've helped do a couple R22 overhauls this year. The last one cost about 105k.

I was told that $26,000 of that is the rotor blades, is that correct?
