I'd have to say the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP), Kyle. A lot of distinguished people, aircraft, and organizations are mentioned here but I can't think of anything strictly Canadian that's had a greater impact on aviation for so many countries during and after WWII.

The list is long for great Canadians, AV Roe and the Lancaster and Arrow of course. Too many DeHaviland Models to mention (DH-1 through DH-8). Found A/C company, Fleet Canuck The pilots and Engineers that flew/tested/built and serviced them. Did you Know that a derivative of the Iroquois engine powered the Concorde? My Favorite Book on early Helicopter stuff is Helicopters the British Columbia Story, it shows Carl Agar from Okanagan Helicopters in 1947 and VIH in the early years.Lots and lots of pioneering.

Anyone know where the Silver Arrow ended up?

What we need here is a time frame for the answers

Many items fit the the bill for contributions to our aviation history

1 The war effort of Victory Aircraft ( AKA Avro)

2 Every A/C DeHaviland have ever produced

3 Aviation pioneers such as Max Ward.

4 Modern develoments such as the the "Canada arm"
