204 Tail Rotor Pitch Change Push Pull Tube Conversion, Urban Legend?

Over the years I've heard rumours of a kit to convert the 204 T/R pitch change chain to a 205 style push pull tube.

 

Has any one actually seen this? If so do they have any information on the kit?

Being an old 204 driver (started 1967), matter of fact my first turbine check out. Being an AME also on the machine I called Eagle Copters Ltd in Calgary for info.

 

No STC exists of any kind to convert the T/R on the 2x4.

 

The reason (s) given were not enough machines to make it viable

 

Would have to extend the nose section to add weight to compensate for the increased weight of the tail section.

 

Bottom line = to costly.
