for many, many years Delta Helicopters sent 100 hour pilots on their first job up to the arctic flying off of boats that serviced the DEW sites. it was a Bell 47G-2 on floats and was the first job of many young pups as you would do it 1 year, 2 at the most then move on to a base.

 

this job was the start of alot of pilot careers. it would be interesting to know just how many...............

 

hence, "the boat job" :D
