T-rex Posted March 9, 2005 Report Share Posted March 9, 2005 You will either have a 'pod' or 'basket' installed on the aircraft Class 'A' external load. I believe you will fly around 800-1000 ft AGL in a fixed predetermined grid pattern. There will be some extra instrumentation installed on your dash to help you with your imaginary grid lines. Otherwise this unit operates like a sonar system and maps the ground below you. I hope your first job isn't in the mountains, this can be very difficult! Otherwise, fairly easy job! Good Luck!
