max flight time in any 24 hour???

I was told by a T.C. inspector that if your air taxi company has:

Operations Specification No. 93 Increase in Flight Duty Time Limitations

you can apply the three hours of "unforseeable circumstances" time to the 15 hour duty day, adding up to 18 hours!!!

 

Can anyone clarify this.  CAR''s plain english says 17 hours.  Regs aren''t very clear.

Yes, that's true - for a total of 6 months in the year you can do 15-hour days non-stop, provided you don't do more than 8 hours flying in them, and you can add the split duty to that.
