Guest plumber
His name is Craig Crumblin, he had surgery on Monday and is doing fine. He has 1 smashed vertebrae, a cracked sternum and a bunch of broken ribs. His spirits are high and his family and friends are with him. OB Did he work at Trans West? If its the same guy a nicer guy you couldn't meet. All the best Craig in your recovery.
treetopflyer
Craig has been working mainly out of Fort Nelson for Qwest in recent years. He has walked a few times since the surgery but has a long road ahead of him. Hoping for a complete and quick recovery. Fly safe, ttf
icepony
Other forum posted it was a 204. Was the machine from Canada or just the pilot? The machine was Australian. Here's a link to the ATSB Aviation Safety Investigation Report (still active, so not much new info there): ASTB report AO-2009-081 I don't know why the manufacturer is not listed as Bell. Wishing a complete and speedy recovery for the pilot!
picapart
I think its not listed as a bell because its a Garlic helicopter . Heard it was a failure of the driveshaft above the 42 degree gearbox. RFS has also stopped hiring 204's . not sure how long for.
splitpin
Want an eye opener?? Google "Garlick Helicopters". I dealt "very briefly" with him in the late 70's. Be very carefull!!!!! Pretty much guarantee this post will be deleted for "naming names" etc.
