Be very careful to check on your possibility for further deductions also. You have to eat and travel to get there too, so don't get too fucused on one item. Having anything "Deferred' over many years is not necessarily a bad thing either because those will potentially be your higher-earning years and it could well be beneficial over those years when you don't want you-know-who to have their hands so deep into your pockets.
