Faa Conversion

Recommended Posts

Well best of luck.

An FAA license is definitely a good thing to have if you have the time and money to get it done while you are doing your TC conversion. Especially if you have longline experience.

Hopefully, US immigration relaxes a bit in the near future.

I am waiting for the FAA-TC bilateral agreement...

don't hold your breath. they've been talking about this for years with little progress. why wait? it's not hard. buy the ASA test prep, study it, challenge the written and the check ride. honestly, the Canadian standards are higher anyways, so if you can pass a check ride up here, you'll be fine down there. just make sure you know the FAR's and FAA Airspaces (they differ from ours).

worked for me anyways...
