Any insight into whether we’re going to have any changes to exemptions for the upcoming season? Is it going to be a free-for-all operating ex-military aircraft with undocumented parts or is TC going to pull the rug out from under all the operators bringing in Blackhawks? Going to be pretty tough to put an end to that if they let it go another year…

Maybe, but then what happens to the aircraft of the operators to which they gave the exception? Will they be “grandfathered”?

No matter which way it goes. I foresee law suites in the future. TC's handling of the whole "restricted category" lacks any consistency, whatsoever. This dates back to VIH importing the Kamov's. I'm sure there are other examples as well, to add fuel to the fire.

It’s far from a free for all unless you are referring to all the US aircraft operating up here under CUSMA.
