Michael M. McKenzie

McKENZIE, Michael - Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 1, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 63. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 36 years, Brenda. Proud and loving father of Shannon (Josh) Stronks. He was recently blessed by the arrival of his precious granddaughter Kenzie Stronks. Cherished brother of Terry (Linda) McKenzie and brother-in-law of Cathy (Karl) Dunnett and David (late Carolyn) Weaver. He was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews. Loved nephew of Carol and Frank Naisbitt and George (late Barb) McIntee. He was predeceased by his parents Marilyn and Murray McKenzie. Michael enjoyed a career as a helicopter pilot for over 35 years. He really enjoyed spending time with all of his many friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Michelle from Paramed and Rafael from Saint Elizabeth for their extraordinary care over the past couple of years. 
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. In support of Michael`s courageous battle, in memoriam donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
