Dark months of mad science aboard a Coast Guard icebreaker-turned-laboratory, supported by a Bell 212.

 

CIRCUMPOLAR FLAW LEAD SYSTEM STUDY

Here's a shot of Coast Guard 307 landing on the icebreaker CCGS Amundsen off Bank's Island this week. Brrr.

So what are yo doin Crash? A little moonlighting? There must be somewhere a bit warmer than that for an old guy. :rolleyes:

 

Seriously those icebreakers when they are under way in the ice are a sight to behold.

Nope, I'm in the office in Ottawa B)

 

Last time I flew that particular helicopter, it was a LOT warmer...
