I can top all of you guys. I trained a small army of Gophers to built net loads and clean the tail boom but after a week or so the organized and formed a union. Now I can't get any work out of them and they take all my flight pay. Plus they talked a Black bear into representing them and he's got me working for him now. HE'S GOT ME CORNERED IN THE DRY SHACK!!! SEND HELP!!!

I killed one of your trained "Gophers" this summer. He was busy inside a net load when I departed with it, upon arrival, he was found crushed inside the load. We immediately shut the jobsite down, filled out the appropriate WCB forms, said a few kind words and buried him.

Another gopher( faster and smarter) was also caught inside a load on departure, he bravely jumped clear as I accelerated through 5 ft and 5 kts. He was last seen heading south at (gopher) terminal velocity, creating quite a dust cloud.....never to be seen again. Quite the story to tell his 100's of grandkids though !

Depending on the local, hiking/exploring around for places to swim and or fish.

Flying offshore now, we used to spend an inordinate amount of time on small platforms while work crews did their thing, often 8 to 10 hours a day for 7 days at a stretch (we now drop them off in the morning and the afternoon crew picks them up in the evenings), there wasn't much of anything to do besides read and sleep, so I'd take a small "travel" guitar and some sort of training aid to plug it into (played tracks you could play along too, backing tracks, drum tracks, etc) and I taught myself how to play guitar.
