Whitestone
What fuel consumption figures are you using for the Bell 206L-3? Pounds/Litres for cruise and/or long line work? Of course keeping in mind the differences between individual machines for things like aerodynamics and power plant efficiency, but in general? Its been a while but I always used 250lbs/hr which always seemed to work out well. Check those forward fuel cells regularly, Not fun when they get stuck full of fuel.
Whitestone
Thanks for the replies HelliRico and _________ (what kind of a name is that anyway?... LOL), i have seen figures as high as 150 Litres per hour/277 Lbs. just wondering what other people were experiencing. ________, it's been a while for me too in the L-3 but i remember using 250 Lbs/hour as well. I am sure that it varies a bit from machine to machine. Funny, i had the jet pump clog on me once too and it was an L-3 as well, maybe we were flying the same machine.... lol. Very unnerving, having to remind ones self that there were 22 (?) +/- usg trapped up front! Yup keep an eye on that gauge and if i remember correctly there is a little switch on the dash to check the front tank quantity. Am not at work and don't have the manual in front of me.
