I would not believe this without pictorial proof. One of our pilots flying in Peru was getting a seismic bag hooked up to him in the jungle... Suddenly he saw what appeared to be an arm reach out and grab the longline as he was departing... He thought perhaps it was a monkey, but that was waaay off the mark! Luckily there was a pad nearby and he was able to land and safely release a three-toe sloth back into the forest!

Definitely a cool story. I've seen Three-Toed Sloths in Costa Rica and they are slow. That is what makes this so amazing.
