They claim 'superior, long-term performance', yet are still bound by the 1200hr/2-year limit. WTF? I am far from a 206 guru, but I don't remember it being common to pull TT straps before their life limit. They must be cheaper... Only variable left really.

Yup.

“The development of Airwolf’s new Torsion-Tension straps is the result of more than seven years of R&D. We have created a product that is technically superior and significantly less expensive than those from the factory.’’

I talked to them - sounds like only about $700.00 less per strap. They hope to increase its airworthiness limitation in the future. Not much savings there yet....and hopefully no AD coming down to change anything as far as the life limit goes. I was hoping they would offer a bit more for less but every little bit helps I guess.
