..... and I would prefer to think like Twinstar on this. Commonsense would have it that way too wouldn't you think ?

 

I find often find myself in both circles, the engineer circle forever plays down the pilot, the pilot circle plays down the engineer and strangely both are passionate about each their own jobs, work & fly the same a/c for the same company, drink the same drinks, eat the same foods, laugh at the same jokes and ramble on about the same stories in the same locations. And I thought my gender was hard to figure out! :blink:

Twinstar is bang on.....it is a "team" effort which starts right at the top (ownership) right through any operation. I would like to think that petty personality differences are cast aside to use a common sense approach to such a problem, especially out in the field. Risk management is a basic fundamental which needs to be exercised by all.

agreed, H56... and it really doesn't matter what industry it is, if something goes wrong, the 1st ones the beancounters look at is the guys on the frontlines... even more reason to be a team!!!

 

and yes, in the perfect world, the guys at the top will remember when they were the guys in the field and support them accordingly!!! B)
