Grasshopper
As to what happened, the word is that there was an engine failure in a high (30-50') hover followed by a more or less straight drop into the trees. The pilot suffered cardiac failure and was removed to hospital immediately but succumbed to heart failure 45 minutes later. Very, very sad. Cosmo
Last Thursday a beautiful Ceremony was held for a great person, and fellow aviator. The Full Regiment RCMP Funeral was impressive to say the least. Standing room only for those who came out to say there last farewell. www.peacearchnews.com/news/138163739.html As many others I found myself choking back tears as they showed pictures of Dave and his young family. For any of you who wish to donate, a trust fund has been setup to ensure Dave's two young children are taken care of for years down the road. Please PM me for details. Sincerely, Cosmo
Squirrel
Dave was honoured today at the RCMP Memorial Service in Regina. He is the first civilian member to be recognized on the memorial wall. Nomex
Wayne was a Special. Randy was an Inspector, but as his death was not in the line of duty, he's not on the Wall, but may be in the Regina cemetery, which is well taken care of.
